A Spectacular Natural Park – Freedom Hill County Park in Sterling Hills, Michigan

Freedom Hill County Park in Sterling Heights, Michigan, is one of the most spectacular natural parks in the entire state. It was initially created back in 1939 as a part of the Great Lakes National Park System. The park is one of the most treasured for those people who love nature and the outdoors. Freedom Hill County Park is surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery in Sterling Heights. Freedom Hill County Park has several different entrances, and they all offer an excellent view of the lake and nearby woods. Some of the more prominent paths that guests can take include the Avenue, which travels along the park’s front, the uphill Glider Rock path, and a trail leading to the Interpretative Center just beyond the park’s entrance. A small portion of this trail will also show you the overlook on top of the Grand Haven Bridge. Freedom Hill County Park is also close enough to downtown Sterling Heights to easily walk to Michigan State University and Eastern Michigan University, making it easy for visitors to make it to their campus in the morning without leaving their homes.
